Sylph

A Sylph is an imaginary creature believed to live in the air. Her name comes from latin, perhaps blend of Latin sylvestris, of the forest (from silva, forest) and Latin nympha, nymph.

It is really uncommon to spot a Sylph amid the underwood, as she will probably has camouflaged herself. Anyway, if you look closely at the leaves in a wood, and stand still, someone of them may appear...

La Silfide è una creatura immaginaria che si crede viva nell'aria. Il suo nome viene dal latino, forse da sylvestris, della foresta, e nympha, ninfa.
E' veramente raro individuare una Silfide nel sottobosco, perché probabilmente sarà mimetizzata. Comunque, se si guarda attentamente le foglie di un bosco e si rimane fermi, qualcuna potrebbe apparire...
